Summer Adventure Camps - 2011!!

Come Summer Vacations and we know that kids, young and old, want to spend it with a lot of fun and adventure!!!

To make play a learning process, we are organizing SUMMER ADVENTURE CAMPS, where our main objective is to prepare them to face any struggle / difficulty in life, with utmost confidence in themselves!!

We have an expertise in organizing and conducting Educational Camps, Adventure and Summer Camps for children of various age groups and for adults, too.
We customize Activities and Programs to create a perfect learning and fun experience for your child!! Any program by Wildpaw Adventures is an inspirational program as also a great outdoor experience for children and parents alike.

We endeavour towards a perfectly developed child in all spheres of his / her personality and have experts in many fields to help us in our sincere efforts to give the best to the child.

It offers challenges and opportunities that are novel, unique and exciting, and a get-away from the hectic city life. We also focus on team building, self confidence, self awareness, self esteem, self expression etc, enhancing human effectiveness, as we go along.

In an effort towards the overall Personality Development in a fun-and-learn way, we are conducting a few camps this season.

These camps provide camping experiences, water sports including Rafting, Raft – Making, etc.

Adventure Activities like Trekking, Rappelling, Camping in the Jungle, River / Valley Crossing, Jhoomaring, Flying Fox and many more.
Alongwith the adventure sports are clubbed other activities like Rifle Shooting, Map Reading and Navigation, Knots,Team Building Games, Yoga and Meditation to give them a complete experience.

The entire program helps individuals to take up challenges and opportunities in their day to day life as well!!

All the various activities are designed by experts to ensure a SAFE fun-and-learn experience. It helps one to build self esteem, boosts confidence and readies them for anything in Life ahead!!

All activities are conducted, supervised and demonstrated by qualified and experienced instructors.

Since its inception, Wildpaw has conducted many Educational Camps, Adventure Camps, Sight-Seeing Outings, Wildlife Outings, Nature Trails, etc for various Corporates as well as individuals across various groups of people.


Contents of our 2N/3D Adventure Camp include :

Trekking, Adventure Activities like Rappelling, Rock – Climbing, River / Valley – Crossing, Jhoomaring, Flying Fox.

Other activities include Games, Drills, Bird – Watching, Nature Trails, Treasure Hunt, Monowalk, Night Trek, etc.

Please Note : Safety, security and hygiene would be of utmost importance to us.
Medical facilities are adequately available.
Certificate of Participation would be issued at the end of the programme.

Camp dates are- Batch I :- 22nd April to 24th April 2011
Batch II :-25th April to 27th April 2011

Watch the Sunrise at Tulsi Lake on Sunday, 30th January 2011

We invite Wildlife Photographers and Nature Enthusiasts to enjoy watching a beautiful Sunrise at Tulsi Lake (located within the Core Area of SGNP, popularly known as Borivali National Park)
during a Nature Trail on Sunday, 30th January 2011.

Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), also popularly known as Borivali National Park, is one of the few green areas remaining in the city of Mumbai.
It is known as the 'Lungs' of our City, providing us with the much needed fresh air as well as clean water and also, sustaining a good number of Big Cats, like panthers and other animals.
SGNP is known for its biodiversity which holds more than a thousand species of plants, about 40 different species of mammals, approx. 250-300 sps of birds, many species of reptiles and amphibians!!

Flora:

Flora mainly includes Adina cardifolia (kadamb), Albizzia lebbek (Shirish), Pongamia pinnata (Karanj),Tectona grandis (Teak) Dalbergia latifolia (Sishum),Bombax malabaricum (Semal) and Erythrina indica (Indian coral tree) to Acacia, Zizyphus and evergreen patches of Euphorbia, alongwith huge clumps of Bamboo. One can see the beautiful flowering of Butea monosperma (Flame of the Forest) during the dry month of February.
The forest also shows a lot of Liana (woody climbers), many species of orchids and a large variety of shrubs.
One of the most spectacular sights is the mass flowering of Karvi (Strobilanthus sps), which happens once only in 7 years and which gives a beautiful purple hue to the entire landscape.

Fauna:

Birds : SGNP is a Birder's Paradise.
One can see various kinds of BIrds, right from the tiny Tickell's flower pecker (supposed to be the smallest bird in India, Sunbirds, Eagles and Hawks, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, and Drongos. As one enters the Park, the continuous calling of LGB - Large Green Barbet, the call of the Spotted Babblers and the loud percing calls of the Parakeets cannot be ignored.

Reptiles :

Various reptiles that we could see at Tulsi lake ranges from a Monitor lizard to Pythons, Cobras, Russell's viper, Bamboo pit viper and smaller animals like Crabs, Spiders - Giant wood spiders, Signature spiders, Black wood spider, and Insects like the Silk cotton bugs, Beetles, Grasshoppers, etc.

Butterflies :

SGNP is also a 'Butterflier's' Paradise and one cannot miss the Orange Tips, Grass Yellows, Striped and Plain Tigers, Jezebels, Emigrants, Blue Mormon, the Blue Oak leaf, the Blues and many others!!

Tulsi Lake is a fresh water lake within the densely forested core area of the National Park and provides potable water to the residents of Mumbai City.

So join us on a Nature Trail to Tulsi Lake on Sunday, 30th January 2011 from 6:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
